Spain, Extremadura and Tordesillas Area, May 2024

Spain was once again breathtakingly beautiful. Due to the heavy rain just before we arrived, it was also one big sea of flowers. I have gained so many impressions and saw many beautiful birds, plants, butterflies and other animals, even a lot of friendly people, where do you find that ;-)
This time too, not all species wanted to be photographed of course. The Crested Cuckoo crossed the road defiantly, but not where we could stop, because there were often no emergency lanes on the narrow (90 km/h) roads. By the way, I mainly concentrated on birds of which I had few or no photos yet. I had one new species for my life-list, a long-desired Spanish Imperial Eagle. I saw it for several days, but it was often too high to take good photos. Still, it wasn't too bad on one of the days and I managed to make some recognizable pictures of it.
